AI search visibility · GEO / AEO / AIO

AI Search Visibility & Generative Engine Optimization

Find out what ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other AI assistants say about your brand, how that compares with your competitors, and what to fix first.

We start with a diagnostic and then, if it makes sense, move to systematic improvement and monitoring.

The entry diagnostic is a pilot offer, not a public tariff: price after briefing. AI answers depend on model, region and time, so we do not guarantee placements or mentions.

Illustration. Brands are fictional. Real answers depend on the platform, model, region and time.

Why it matters

Buyers increasingly ask AI whom to choose

According to OpenAI, hundreds of millions of people use ChatGPT, including for everyday decisions, and some of them ask which product or vendor to pick. We have no general figures for your market and do not invent them: the size of the audience is something the diagnostic assesses.

An answer instead of a results page

The assistant replies with a short list and an explanation. If your brand is not in it, a buyer may never have a reason to open your site.

Different selection rules

AI draws on websites, directories, reviews and third-party mentions. A good ranking in classic search does not show what it picks up, or from where.

Errors stick

An outdated price, a wrong description or confusion with a similarly named company can enter answers and repeat until the underlying sources are fixed.

The entry diagnostic

What you receive in the first engagement

A fixed-scope diagnostic that gives you a baseline and a ranked action list. It is offered as a pilot, with the price agreed after a short briefing.

01

15–20 relevant queries

A set of buying and comparison questions that real customers in your market ask, agreed with you before we start.

02

Main AI platforms

The same queries run on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini; other assistants or AI search modes added on request.

03

Competitor comparison

Who the assistants name instead of you for each question, and what appears to explain it.

04

Sources and mentions

Which pages, publications and directories the answers rely on, and whether your own pages are among them.

05

Gaps

Missing or wrong facts about your brand, unclear positioning, technical barriers and absent third-party coverage.

06

Prioritised recommendations

A ranked list of actions by expected impact and effort, so you know what to fix first.

07

Short PDF report

A concise report you can forward to your team: findings, evidence from the answers and the action list.

Where we look

The platforms where people look for answers

The baseline covers three assistants. Other channels are added on request when they matter for your market.

ChatGPT

Answers to buying queries, brand mentions and recommendations.

Perplexity

Answers with explicit source links: useful for seeing whose pages are cited.

Gemini

Google’s assistant, and how it connects to your site and profiles.

On request

  • Google AI Overviews and AI Mode in search
  • Microsoft Copilot, Claude and other assistants
  • Regional assistants where relevant to your market

The set depends on your market, region and platform availability; we make no promises about this list.

How AI visibility is formed

Seven factors you can influence

This is a working model based on practice, not an official algorithm: platforms do not disclose how they build answers. We check each factor against your market and work on those with a real gap.

  1. 01

    Brand findability

It is clear from public data what you do, for whom and where you operate. If it is unclear to people, it is unclear to a model.

  2. 02

    Sources and citation

Which pages and publications answers cite on your topic. We check whether yours are among them, and which should be.

  3. 03

    Entity consistency

The same name, description, address, facts and profiles on your site and in external directories, without contradictions.

  4. 04

    Structured content

Pages where the answer to a customer’s question comes first and is backed by facts, tables and Schema.org markup.

  5. 05

    Topical authority

Depth and consistency of material on your subject, rather than a few unrelated articles.

  6. 06

    Relevant external mentions

Trade publications, directories, reviews and expert platforms that assistants see as independent sources.

  7. 07

    Crawl accessibility

Platform bots must be able to read the site: robots.txt, indexability, speed, no blocks or errors.

What MECHANICS does

From measurement to systematic improvement

01

AI visibility diagnostic

A set of buying queries on your topic, the answers recorded across the chosen platforms, brand mentions and recommendations.

02

Competitor comparison

Whom assistants name instead of you for each question, and what explains it.

03

Source and citation analysis

Which pages and platforms shape the answers and where your gaps are.

04

Technical readiness

Indexability, bot access, markup, speed and site structure.

05

Content optimisation

Rewriting key pages around real customer questions: answer, facts, evidence.

06

Entity and structured data

Aligning the brand description, profiles and Schema.org markup.

07

Monitoring

Repeat measurements on the same query set, to see a trend rather than a single answer.

08

Ongoing GEO support

Regular edits, new material and work with external sources based on monitoring.

Process

Diagnostic, strategy, implementation, monitoring, iteration

The duration of each step depends on the market and the number of pages. We state it after the briefing and confirm it in writing.

  1. 01

    Diagnostic

We record what the platforms answer today, whom they name and what they rely on.

  2. 02

    Strategy

We choose priority queries, pages and sources and decide what gives the most for the least effort.

  3. 03

    Implementation

We fix pages, structure, markup and entity data; prepare material and external mentions.

  4. 04

    Monitoring

We repeat the measurements on the same query set and compare with the baseline.

  5. 05

    Iteration

We keep what worked, change what did not and widen the query set.

Results and metrics

What we measure, and how to read it honestly

Share of answers that mention the brand

In how many answers to the chosen query set the brand is named.

Citation frequency

How often your pages are cited where the platform shows sources.

Coverage of target queries

For how many business-critical questions the brand appears on at least one platform.

Competitor comparison

Movement relative to the competitors named in answers.

Qualified visits

Visits from AI assistants that can be told apart in analytics.

Attributed conversions

Leads and sales that can be linked to those visits.

Limits of measurement

  • AI answers are unstable: they vary by model, region, account and time, so we measure a set of queries, not a single answer.
  • Platforms do not publish mention reports and do not always show sources, so part of the picture stays indirect.
  • Visits from AI assistants are not always distinguishable from direct traffic, so conversions are attributed only where measurable.
  • We do not guarantee a place in answers, assistant recommendations, traffic growth or leads.

Is this for you

Who it is for, and who it is not for

A good fit if

  • You sell a product or service that buyers research and compare online
  • You have a public website and can name 3–5 questions your customers ask
  • You want a measured baseline before deciding what to invest in
  • You accept that AI answers vary and that outcomes cannot be guaranteed

Not a fit if

  • You want a guaranteed place in AI answers, or a promised traffic or lead number
  • You need paid placement inside ChatGPT rather than organic visibility (see ChatGPT advertising instead)
  • You have no public web presence at all and are not planning one
  • You want one-off text edits without measurement or follow-up

Questions and answers

What people usually ask before starting

What are GEO, AEO and AIO?

They are different names for closely related work: making AI assistants and AI search find your brand, describe it correctly and name it in answers. GEO is generative engine optimisation, AEO is answer engine optimisation, AIO refers to AI overviews. There is no single standard terminology, so we describe concrete tasks instead of labels.

How is this different from SEO?

SEO improves the position of pages in a list of search results. Here the goal is different: that the assistant names your brand in the answer itself and relies on correct sources. Some work overlaps (technical foundation, content quality), but we measure mentions and citations in answers, not positions alone.

What exactly is in the entry diagnostic?

15–20 relevant queries agreed with you, a run on the main AI platforms, a comparison with competitors, an analysis of sources and mentions, the gaps we find, prioritised recommendations and a short PDF report.

Is the entry diagnostic a standard product with a public price?

No. It is a pilot offer. We do not publish a tariff: after a short briefing we send a proposal with the scope, timing and a fixed price.

Do you guarantee that we will be recommended?

No. Platforms do not disclose how they form answers and change their own rules. We guarantee the process: documented measurement, clear priorities, completed edits and re-measurement. We do not promise placements, mentions, traffic or leads.

Is this the same as advertising in ChatGPT?

No. Advertising in ChatGPT is paid, labelled cards that you control. AI search visibility is organic work on what assistants say about you in regular answers. They are different tools and complement each other.

Which platforms do you check?

The baseline is ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. On request and where possible we add Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot and other assistants, depending on your market and platform availability.

What do you need from our side?

A working public website, an understanding of your market and 3–5 questions your customers ask. We agree site edits with you. If you cannot give access to the site, we provide a list of changes for your team or contractor.

How quickly will we see an effect?

We do not guarantee timing: much depends on how and when platforms refresh their data and sources. That is why we record a baseline first and re-measure after the changes. We give timelines for the audit and implementation after the briefing.

Can we sign an NDA?

Yes, on request. Work is done under a contract with a defined scope, and we reply within one business day.

Need a paid channel rather than organic visibility? ChatGPT advertising.

Next step

Let’s check what AI says about your business

  1. 1. You send your website and 3–5 questions your customers ask.
  2. 2. A short briefing: market, competitors, platforms.
  3. 3. We send a proposal: what we will check, timing and a fixed price.

No obligation. A contract is signed before work starts, an NDA is available on request, and we reply within one business day.
